About me

My name is Kerstin Beier and I have been working as a Freelance Translator in the fields of Gastronomy, Recipe Books, Groceries and Recipes with the working languages Greek, English, French, Russian and German since 2004.

My advantages are especially reliable quality and personal contact.


I got the qualifications for my job in form of studying "Applied Linguistic and Cultural Studies" at Johannes-Gutenberg-University Mainz/FASK Germersheim, which was preceded by a degree in Germanic and English/American Literature and Linguistics at the University of Stuttgart.

Immediately after obtaining my diploma as "Graduated TransIator" in 2004 I was sworn
for Greek language at the Regional Court of Karlsruhe and launched my own business.

True to the motto "You never stop learning" I am still using the principle of lifelong learning.


I did my first translations during my studies, translations for acquaintances followed.

Since 2004 I am officially working as a freelance translator - and enjoy my profession very much

Personal characteristics

While working I've made my personal characteristics and hobbies become an integral part of my offer.

My doing is naturally fast, meticulous, punctual and reliable, which keeps the process of my work in good stea

Acquaintance of foreign languages

My language skills are always up to date as I visit "local" residents as often as possible.

Since I love to travel and like to cope with other cultures, this is an easy job for me.

It's not possible to survive in this profession without foreign experience!

Technical equipment

My technical equipment is always up to date: I work with various translation memory systems that I apply customized.

My additional studies of "Computer Science" enable me to resolve technical problems in a very short time on myself.

Since 2004 I am a member of BDÜ (Federal Association of Interpreters and Translators) where you can get more information about me.

Key activities

My hobbies are manifested in my profession: I am a passionate cook and baker.

Furthermore I have been very curious about other languages and cultures since my childhood.
